Not necessarily relevant to much, and might not completely make sense to everyone, but, my tattoo artist died this week. Not sure of details as of yet, but, he was also into biking, etc., and he (obviously) also lived here in South Africa, so unless it was just some or other sort of natural disease/cause, it's also quite possible it was to do with an accident, etc., but anyway. Anyway, he was an old buddy, who I'd known for roundabout 20 years, and aside from all my tattoo's having been done by him, that includes the apparently world first, actual braille tattoo's that he figured out how to do, of his own accord before I'd even gotten around to asking him about a thought that had been simmering in the back of my own mind. Also, his sort of starting point as a tattoo artist was him practicing on his buddies in another buddy's flat, back in the early 90's, and even then he was doing damn near perfect work - I still get comments about the detailed shading on the bit of barbed wire around my one arm, which is also sort of the only tattoo I have where the design has no really meaningful reason as far as I'm concerned, but, it was something he wanted to test/try out back in the day, and I liked the look of his designs back then already. Anyway, like my one other bud has already said, we'll see each other on the flip side, and if I ever want to get any more art work done, it's going to be a bit hard to find someone who can compare to this friend of mine that near the end had like a 6 month waiting period if he didn't know/like you personally...<smile> Stay well, Ant!
