Well, the issue for me on android units is specifically that since am running
jellybean 4.1 on my most modern unit, I can't really edit text too easily in
terms of navigating character by character, etc., and I'm one of those who
tries to make sure am happy with spelling, grammar, etc. myself, and also turn
off things like automatic suggestions, etc., but, yes, on a standard PC
keyboard think my typing speed ranges from like 50 words per minute up to above
80 depending on what am busy with, and how I feel, etc., but, helps that have
been using computer keyboards for over 30 years now, and on my android phone
also have it set to PC keyboard layout, etc., and while am not that fast on
that unit, honestly, I don't do much more than use it as slightly more of a
PDA/gadget than a phone, and do most of my online/digital activity on full-on
PC's anyway.

Stay well

Got to be honest, I use it Waymore than I probably should, but for me it is
much faster than typing on an on-screen keyboard or even a standard computer
keyboard. It is just a lot easier for me to speak it because I'm faster , And
for me, the few mistakes it may occasionally make are well worth the saved
time.

Although honestly don't use it too often/much, when focused in/on an edit
field, there's a button which is part of on-screen keyboard to activate voice
input, and then you sort of tap on another on-screen button to get it to start
listening, and tap same place to stop it, and on my one unit where have tried
it a bit, I have it set to south african english as voice input language, and
seems to work well enough most of the time depending on subject matter, but,
like said, really don't use it consistently/seriously as such.

Yeah really annoying.
