I birded this morning with Brandon Green, Tye Jeske and Joshua Galpern. We went
to the Cantrell-Neilson Rds area, Bond Rd. and north to Franklin Rd and
Washburn Lane.
Highlights a large PRAIRIE Falcon hanging around the Cantrell-Neilson junction,
at least 175 pipits in that area.
Also Northern Shrike along Washburn, White-throated Sparrow at the monster
feeders on Fisher Rd. and two birds that got away on the airport fenceline
along Greenhill that may have been phoebes.
Speaking of phoebes, a Black was at an isolated farmstead on north Washburn, a
nonstandard location.
Raptor numbers and variety were good but we saw no Rough-legs or kites.
