Movements in my yard in residential SW Eugene in recent days have included
migrant Lincoln's Sparrow enjoying the bird bath April 16-17, Purple Finch
April 17, Wilson's Warbler April 16 and a steady flow of Golden-crowned
Sparrows. VG Swallows are now prospecting the neighborhood. Half a dozen Red
Crossbills cruised over this afternoon the 17th - that's a nonstandard bird at
my place.
Cooper's Hawks are apparently nesting nearby as they did last year. I think
the Bushtits are now sitting.
