at Thornton Creek, Lincoln
an unprecedented 46 species. Late month sightings included Bald Eagle (not
annual in the past, but more expected in the past several years), Mourning Dove
(formerly quite rare, but now semi-regular), and Rec-breasted Sapsucker (
annual, but uncommon and irregular).
Northern Saw-whet Owl has been calling every evening the past two weeks,
beginning just before dusk become full darkness. Often accompanied by Western
Screech Owl.
