One year ago on Mar. 6 & 7 Carol Karlen and I did the last of her Yamhill
County raptor routes for the 2014-2015 winter season. We split it into two
days because she wasn't feeling so very strong. Two miles west of Amity on
Amity-Bellevue Rd. we found the first Osprey of 2015 for Yamhill County.
This winter, 2015-2016, several friends and I ran Carol's routes. We
finished the last route a couple days ago. We did not find an Osprey
anywhere. Meanwhile, I've been checking that nest west of Amity. Today, on
the anniversary of our 2015 run, the OSPREY was back!
