Hi -
Howell et al.  Rare Birds of North America includes one record, from interior British Columbia, June 6, 1997; however not accepted by ABA because of "uncertain provenance."  Evidently the identity was not in question.

On the other hand, I checked ebird for its range.  Results are mind-boggling.  No 'New World' records that I can see.  Not even close.

I have zero experience with Rock thrush.  Hopefully that could change. So I Googled 'Rock Thrush on the Beach' .Lots of images in this habitat, mostly rocky shore, but also bare beach.  So this habitat checks.I did not find the image in question.  I'm not on Facebook, but I do find Facebook images usually.I see no reason to doubt the veracity of this photo. As to the metadata.  That would be great, but it might not have been turned on 'on'. in which case only the date might be available.Bob OBrien  Carver OR
