On the other hand, I checked ebird for its range.  Results are
mind-boggling.  No 'New World' records that I can see.  Not even close.

Lots of images in this habitat, mostly rocky shore, but also bare beach.
So this habitat checks.
I did not find the image in question.  I'm not on Facebook, but I do find
Facebook images usually.
I see no reason to doubt the veracity of this photo.
As to the metadata.  That would be great, but it might not have been
turned on 'on'. in which case only the date might be available.
