Saw a Slate-colored in the yard today, in North Portland. Last I saw them in
the neighborhood was around late October, in the company of a few other Oregons
and a Chipping Sparrow.

Juncos are singing in sw Eugene (to suggest celebration would be to
anthro-etc.) and the mostly-Slate bird that I saw in late fall showed up again
today after wintering elsewhere. It has a distinctive look, pretty sure it is
the same bird.
