Our FOS rufous hummingbird, a male, showed up in early March. There has
been one male at the feeders off and on since then, no females. I've
started to hear a male displaying only in the last week or so.
We have had very few Anna's all winter (usually 10 or more at the feeders)
and apparently only two pairs nesting in the yard (usually 4-5 pairs).

this year, coupled with a conspicuous absence in LA. I believe the abundant
