A lot of bird reporting that used to be posted on Obol is now going to
ebird and/or local lists. I would hope that the stuff on ebird will be
accessible a long time from now, to interested parties everywhere on earth.
I don't believe that's going to happen with the stuff on Obol. Also, I
expect Obol postings will increase geometrically in April if you use
February as a base.

No, I don't think most of us will ever get back to just talking about
birds. The Malheur occupiers broke up the pleasant idea that we could just
exist in our own happy little worlds, watch our backyards in winter and
then head out to Malheur in the springtime.
I have no intention of "politicizing" OBOL with this posting but the real
Oregon birding list these days is on BOO. The world is different now, since
Ammon Bundy and his gang made their move.
