As one with rather severe seasonal affective disorder this is the last
winter I plan to spend in Salem now that my mom is gone as of a month ago.
It will be south of here where I spend these couple of months in future
years. On my back much of the day today (the titanium screws and bands
holding my spine together are always irritating and often painful) and
birding from my bedroom window this is what I saw 12/13/21 outside in the
native plants yard there
White-crowned Sparrow at least 4
Golden-crowned Sparrow 1
DE Junco at least 4
White-throated Sparrow 1
Fox Sparrow 2
Song Sparrow 1
Spotted Towhee 2
Bewick's Wren 1
BC Chickadee 2
American Crow 1
House Sparrow 1
