While eating lunch at home late this morning, I saw/heard a flock of ~40
EVENING GROSBEAKS in the clump of maples two yards over. While working in
my office a couple hours later, a male VARIED THRUSH flew into the cherry
tree right outside my window.
Other arrivals of note from earlier in the week include a dozen or so
SISKINS, GC SPARROW, YR WARBLER, STELLER'S JAY (transient in my
neighborhood), and an early SC JUNCO. No Mountain Chickadees so far.
I get the feeling that Western Oregon is going to have an exciting winter.
