Today, among the more than 320 brown pelicans roosting at Yaquina Head was a
bird marked with a blue color band with white inscription. I have reported the
observation and code to the BBL.
The most interesting observation at Yaquina Head was a Brandt’s cormorant
collecting marine algae and then climbing up on a rock in an attempt to build a
nest. It was a very nice day on the coast today, but not quite that nice!
