…… on Sunset Beach, Clatsop County, earlier today.  The leg flag is easy to read but the aluminum band takes a little more effort.  It’s upside down.  The top line includes the word “PERU” and a “WWW.”   The middle line includes a “something dot ORG” where the something maybe starts with “C” and maybe ends in “OI” or “DI” —“CORBIDI”?    We can read the “ORG” part here.  The bottom line is maybe alphanumeric ….. might be H06043.   I’ll see what the Bird Banding Lab can find out.
Meanwhile, trying to track this online, I found a reference to "https://www.10000birds.com/www.bandedbirds.org” but the link returns a “404 error.”  Another site (https://www.10000birds.com/watch-for-shorebirds-with-colored-flags.htm) makes this much clear: "If you see a shorebird with a yellow flag you will know it was banded in Peru.”
