Obolites, I birded Stewart Pond which held lots of Shovelers and Green Winged Teal but no shorebirds. Fern Ridge Res. had lots of Pintails, GW Teal, coots and Mallards, but no shorebirds. Best bird was a Peregrine perched in a tree east of the observation deck . Tree Swallows and Marsh wrens were plentiful. I finally found shorebirds at the EWEB operations center on Roosevelt. There was a Floyd of 100+ Dunlin in a wetlands near the truck entrance south of the main parking lot. One of the Dunlin was coming into breeding plumage. I talked with Chris who is their habitat enhancement specialist re their plans and this will become a great site in a few years. There is limited parking to the right or left of the gate.
