There were decent numbers of shorebirds at both Fernhill Wetlands and
Jackson Bottom today. The same species were found at each site. Overall
numbers were higher at Jackson Bottom, but the newly planted willows have
already formed a canopy over much of the mudflat habitat. Species seen:

Killdeer
Semipalmated Plover
Western Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Spotted Sandpiper
Long-billed Dowitcher
Dunlin

All were in breeding plumage.

Cheers
