Hi All,
Christian Hannig and I birded the Timber, Oregon area yesterday. Our
highlights were as follows.
- Northern Pygmy Owl 3 (two on Rogers Rd. and one on Round Top Rd.)
- Sooty Grouse 6+ (calling everywhere and every time we stopped the car,
only one visual)
- Mountain Quail 1 (singing along Rogers Rd.)
- Sharp-shinned Hawk 1 (adult flyover)
- Gray Jay 2 (collecting nesting material)
- Rufous Hummingbird 3
- Yellow-rumped Warbler (everywhere)
The weather was great and we found our mountain targets!
