I forgot to mention of the 30 gulls hanging out on the oyster-shell pile at
Pacific Seafood in Bay City at least half of them seemed to be
glaucous-winged, with a few western/GW hybrids thrown in. I was surprised
to see as many. But aren't they more common as you go more northerly on the
coast?
