Interesting!
I chased the Brown Thrasher at the Lowery onion farm (north of Salem)
on Christmas Day, 1988.
I was invited into the house and Mrs. Lowery and I observed it from
the living room window.
(Along with a White-throated Sparrow, a more notable bird back then than now.)
Something about Brown Thrashers hanging out at hospitable houses?

I have not noticed this particular sighting in this thread. I got my lifer in
Colton Or in January of 1984 at a private residence there.
Was my first chase to someone's home. The homeowners invited us in, had
coffee and cookies and encouraged standing in the back bedroom for the best
looks into the yard. I thought it a remarkable bit of hosting.
