The world has changed. Barometric pressure of 28 or lower I understand. I have
no idea what mbars are, or how to translate those figures into something I do
understand. Any help out there for dinosaurs like me?

The marine buoy at 46.134 N 131.079 W recorded a record setting (for
this part of the Pacific) low pressure of 942.6-mbars at 10:00hrs this
morning. The worst of the energy is aimed at Vancouver Island, but the
weather professionals are still calling for 65 mph gusts on beaches and
headlands all along the coast. And there's still a good chance of an
atmospheric River event Weds/Thurs.
