There was a sizable flock of Evening Grosbeaks at 35th and Jackson, Corvallis,
last Friday (3/25). Given the frequent reports around nw Oregon this winter I
wasn't surprised, even assumed they'd be a daily occurence hence. But i don't
think I've noticed one since. Lars

I woke up to the welcome sound of "Oh sweet Canada, Canada, Canada" this
morning - the first time I've heard one of our overwintering WHITE-THROATED
SPARROWS break into full song!
Another harbinger of spring was a single EVENING GROSBEAK that flew over our
place. The flocks are surely to follow any day now!
Enjoy the sun!
