Hi all,
Marilyn and I decided to spend a day at Summer Lake to celebrate the end
of duck-hunting season. We saw a total of 50 species, but most surprising
was a large gathering of approximately 2,000 Snow Geese! These birds
usually don't arrive in these numbers until mid-February.
On our way home we saw a flock of about 40 Snow Geese near Fort
Rock flying north. Early migration for sure!
Cheers,
