Hi all,
Jeff Hayes' mention of the German rock group "Skew Siskin" reminds me:
I still haven't seen a Pine Siskin in the Camp Adair neighborhood this
year. They were noticeably absent from the mid-Willamette Valley this
winter, but I expected to see several pairs around our house during
nesting season -- when they normally come down off the ridge to gather
sheep wool for their nests, from our backyard fences. So far that hasn't
happened.
