I vaguely recall that someone doing survey work for the Army Corps of
Engineers (maybe Daniel Farrar?) found a Rock Wren at Hills Creek Dam
about 10 years ago.

Or was it a Canyon Wren?

Cougar Dam (which is similar enough that I sometimes get them mixed up)
had at least one record from Tom Mickel about 18 years ago, according to
the www.birdnotes.net database.

Sorry to hear about the Great Gray Owl that was killed along the
Aufderheide Byway. There are not many of them in that area.
