A group of us did a "birding weekend" trip to Wallowa County and Rhinehart Canyon, Sun - Wed. Highlights: Evenings of 22-25 June: Acting on a tip from a local birder, we went out Golf Course Rd NW of Enterprise at sunset. At 3.25 miles we found ~6 SHORT-EARED OWLS milling about, apparently a family group. In addition we twice saw a group of LONG-BILLED CURLEWS flying NW overhead, apparently going to roost somewhere.
