Someone with a [warped?] sense of humor posted a supposed Brambling from HQ –
this is taken from “Al Sarvis’s” Ebird checklist which is from 6:30 am on
Sunday, only an hour before sunrise.
“Was glassing around the compound through my scope. Saw a bird that flashed
orange so I scanned back with the vaguest hope of it being snow bunting. When I
realized what I was looking at I almost dropped my rifle. After a few long
looks I can report the bird to be a standard issue nonbreeding brambling;
although, it's right wing did seem to be enlarged and functional only in the
most basic sense”

I don’t see any other checklists from there since Dec. 17th. I don’t have
Harney County editor privileges so I don’t have access to the email address.
Russ Namitz, Dave Irons and Shawneen Finnegan have access to that. A comparison
of that address to the OBOL membership files might prove to be interesting. I
trust the record will be invalidated as soon as one of the above review it.
