Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

On September 23 a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was at the The Dalles waterfront.
A HUDSONIAN GODWIT has bee seen all week at the South Jetty of the Columbia
River. On September 22 a NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was on the North Spit of Coos
Bay. Among the many birds in the woodlot at Fields September 21 was a
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER.
On September 23 among the many hawks passing the Green Ridge Hawkwatch
station near Camp Sherman were a BROAD-WINGED HAWK and an early ROUGH-LEGGED
HAWK. A major white-fronted goose movement was reported September 20-22.
Numerous reports of CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS during the week indicated a
regular movement.
On September 22 two ELEGANT TERNS were at Gold Beach. At South Beach, south
of Newport the two PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVERS was seen again September 22. The
Yaquina Bay RUFF continues to be seen. On September 24 a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER
was reported at Bradley Lake near Bandon. On September 26 a LAPLAND LONGSPUR
was at Florence and 10-15 were at the South Jetty of the Columbia River.
On September 22 a PRARIE FALCON was at Finley NWR. That day two SHARP-TAILED
SANDPIPERS were at Fern Ridge Reservoir. On September 22 two adult SABINE¹S
GULLS were at McNary Dam. On September 25 one was at The Dalles.
