A very bright YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER is now being seen at the interpretive center at Ankeny NWR. A RUSTY BLACKBIRD was photographed December 4 in Yoncalla. The LaGrande RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER, the Hillsboro RUSTY BLACKBIRD, and Ridgefield NWR VERMILION FLYCATCHER continue to be seen. The Brookings and Cove BLUE JAYS also continue. Large numbers of RED PHALAROPES are now just offshore. On December 1 many were at the entrance to Tillamook Bay. 4000 were off Boiler Bay November 27. On November 27 a late SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER and four LONG-TAILED DUCKS were at Coos Bay. The Science Center TROPICAL KINGBIRD at Yaquina Bay continues. Another was in Garibaldi November 29. A RED KNOT was at Bayocean Spit Tillamook Bay November 27. On November 28 a flock of 20 TRUMPETER SWANS were in the fields near Airlie. A BRANT was over North Albany November 28. A GOLDEN EAGLE was at Finley NWR November 30. A BURROWING OWL was photographed November 30 near Harrisburg. A GYRFALCON was seen November 18 in Woodland Bottoms, WA.
