The Prineville CBC was a great success today. We found 91 species (The
record is 92.) New for the count was a Bewick's Wren seen by Clarence
Story, myself, and heard by several others (This is only the second
county record for this species.)
High Counts included: Snow Goose, Pied-billed Grebe, Bald Eagle,
Ferruginous Hawk, American Kestrel, Merlin, Rock Pigeon, E.
Collared-Dove, Mourning Dove, Western Bluebird, Tricolored Blackbird,
Lesser Goldfinch, and House Sparrow.

Big misses included: Barrow's Goldeneye, Brown Creeper, and Mountain
Bluebird.

I'm still waiting to confirm a report of a Black-capped Chickadee at the
Prineville Country Club.

For the first time since 1991, we found fewer than 100 American Robins
(Last year there were nearly 10,000.)

Thanks to all that helped out. We had a very fun day.

P.S. David Schas, Clarence Story and I found a SAW-WHET OWL outside of
the circle.
