Hi all,

The lower part of Wigrich Rd. is commonly underwater when the Willamette
River floods, so Wayne Hoffman's suggestion of stranded fish from a
recent flood is entirely reasonable.

On one Airlie CBC I remember counting several dozen Wood Ducks that were
swimming in a flooded filbert orchard. I'm always careful when I go out
owling there at night for that CBC, since you never know when the road
will suddenly end in high water. Some good screech-owl spots if you can
get to them.

I've also seen Common Mergansers on a field pond just across the river
from there, off of Buena Vista Rd. near Ankeny NWR, in similar
post-flood circumstances.
