I went to Baskett Slough NWR last week without much luck. I decided to
see what I could photograph around my property the last two days. I live
on two wooded acres with a pond east of Salem in the Macleay area. I saw my
first Varied Thrush of the season yesterday. Also photographed an Anna's
Hummingbird, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Bewick's Wren, Black-capped and
Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Song Sparrow, Downy Woodpecker and a Dark-eyed
Junco. I also included some fall color photos from my property. Click on
