A short report after 12 hrs birding. We had good winter weather cold and snowy
but comfortable. Snow covered (1-3 + inches) and frozen everywhere.
Notables today: common redpolls & 1 hoary redpoll, gray partridges, tree
sparrows, 400+ gc rosy-finches, snow bunting, lapland longspurs, horned larks,
harris sparrows, bohemian waxwings, prairie falcons, ferruginous & rough
legged-hawk, n pygmy owl 15 ft away, n saw-whet owl. Great and repeated views
of all except NSWO. All posted to ebird, many with photos, more photos to come.
