Bev,
This appears to be an adult "Fuertes'" Red-tailed Hawk. This subspecies winters
in Arizona. It is much plainer breasted than the "Western" Red-tailed Hawks
that are resident in Oregon.

Hello birders,
Sorry to bring an out-of-state sighting here but I know we have some hawk
experts who may be able to help me id a hawk I saw today south of Tucson, AZ.
By the way it's HOT (Temperature) down here.
