Thayer’s Gull (FOS-ad) on the beach at Manzanita this morning and FOS Eurasian
Wigeon (ad male) on Nehalem Bay (east side, end of Bayside Gardens Rd.).
Respectable numbers of Sooty Shearwaters were swirling around nearshore at
Manzanita yesterday (Oct1); fewer today. I scoped for about an hour yesterday
looking for Black-vented/Manx, but no white-bellied shearwaters among them.
