Hi All,
I first headed to the PPP this morning. Birds of note were one each of Yellow
Warbler, greater scaup, hooded merganser, imm cormorant, and 5 eared grebes.
Next went to Finley NWR. At the platform east of HQ, the one that faces the
large field, was an imm Northern Goshawk. From there I went to Ankeny NWR and
saw one male Eurasian Wigeon along with some American's. Nearby, on the R&R
tracks was a coyote. Oh yes, a red-shouldered hawk was seen as well. Next I
went to Monmoth PP, oops, I meant MSP where I saw another yellow warbler, and
the resident Black Phoebe. Next I went to BSNWR which has been quite slow when
compared to other places in the valley. There were 6 GWF Geese there at least.
