Hi all,
Right on time, fall shorebird migration is beginning in the Willamette
Valley. Today, I had my first small flock of Least Sandpipers and one
Western Sandpiper at the Philomath Sewage Ponds. A couple of Wilson's
Phalaropes were also present.
Waterfowl are also starting to trickle in. Yesterday, the first No.
Pintails, Green-winged Teal and Ruddy Ducks of the season made an
appearance on the ponds.
