Hello all,
We made a dash out to Davis Road this afternoon, hoping to relocate the
Snow Buntings that were reported from there yesterday. Alas, we (and a
number of other birders) were unable to find any buntings, longspurs or
larks. Only a few AMERICAN PIPITS were around. We were also unable to
relocate the Burrowing Owl reported by Mark Baldwin yesterday.
As a consolation prize, we counted 97 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS in a field
along Green Valley Rd. (just a little south of the intersection with Davis
Rd.), along with about 140 DUNLIN and 85 KILLDEER.
Happy fall birding!
Hendrik & Oscar
