Curiously, Lark Sparrow which has been seen multiple times in
the county is not among the default rare species when that option
is clicked on the eBird entry form. Lark Bunting, which up to a year
ago was on the OBRC list, has no records in Clatsop, but does turn up on
the default list.
Focusing on the Lark part, rather than the Bunting part, because
Lark Sparrow is an irregular visitor and should be on the rare
list and Lark Bunting less so, the wrong bird was reported to eBird.
This egregious error has been corrected. Please adjust your chasing
priorities accordingly.

Dane Osis found and photographed a LARK SPARROW on the Fort to Sea
Trail. You can take the trail from Sunset Beach State Park or cheat
and drive to the north end of Lewis Rd.
The bird was seen along the trail between the pine/locust strip and
the Neacoxie Foot Bridge around the lone crabapple. I could not find
it when I went looking later in the day, but there are lots of
sparrows (and lots of habitat).
