Hi Tim,

I am sorry to hear that your junco family got attacked. We too have 3 eggs, I
hope no vulture (sorry about the pun) gets our eggs. Last year we saw the
fledglings and it was cool.

So funny about the Christmas wreath, next holiday season we could market them
as Junco nest starters. LOL.

I will report out as we progress. I love coming home and being greeted by
these lovely birds.

Sincerely.

Dear Maria,
Juncos nested in a Christmas wreath outside our front door here in Happy
Valley as well. They had 3 eggs as of a week ago. Then suddenly about 5
days ago all of the eggs disappeared as did the juncos. I suspect that a
Western Scrub-Jay or something else got the eggs. I hope that your junco
nest fares better than ours did.
Sincerely,
Tim Janzen

We transferred the junco nest to a new Christmas wreath during the holidays.
We have been wondering if our Junco couple would return. They did. They
have 3 eggs in the nest. It is like our friends have returned. Remember the
wreath is outside of our door. I just love it.
