There was a GREAT GRAY OWL hunting a meadow at Howard Prairie a few days ago.
At Kirtland Ponds, I counted 47 GREATER YELLOWLEGS yesterday. Frank Lospalluto
reported the first BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER and birds should be here at
traditional spots for those tickers needing it for the year.

King Mountain is still snowed in. I heard a Common Raven after about 1/2 hr of
postholing through snow. I felt like I was on a CBC in Barrow, AK. A GOLDEN
EAGLE was soaring over downtown Grants Pass, uncommon in the county. At Lake
Selmac, there was a WESTERN & HORNED GREBE.
