Key is to keep track of these "unusual" sightings to put together a record
of what is happening which I have been doing in Coos County. They are
definitely arriving earlier and earlier in the past decade in Coos. Also,
they have been overwintering regularly in the Coquille Valley the past five
years (based on multiple sightings on a daily basis throughout December)
and twice in Coos Bay but not in the past two years. I expect the
sightings like yours Romain to become more common and earlier in future
years (if the trend I see continues). Guess we'll see what happens?
