There was more ice around than I expected early this morning but I made it
safely to Hayden Island. There had been reports of MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES and
I biked around until I found a flock of chickadees and there was at least
one Mountain there with Black-cappeds. This was along N. Hayden Bay
Driver. On the west side of the island there are still large numbers of
BARROW'S and COMMON GOLDENEYES with one female SURF SCOTER among them.
