I am also looking for a way to express my frustration at people trying to claim
land that belongs to every American. Those men are a misguided bunch who either
do not understand the Constitution of our country or are just ignorant of the
facts and how they are applied. As a birder and proud American I can’t think of
a way to protest. A gathering of unarmed birders just going about the act of
birding is sounding more and more like a hypothetically good idea.

their stated goals of returning all federal land in Harney County to private
ownership, that would eliminate all Forest Service, BLM, and Wildlife Refuge
jobs and work related spending in Harney County. And that would be a
devastating blow to the economy of Harney County, reducing total economic
activity in the county by approximately 30 percent, increasing poverty and
dislocating families that have lived in Harney County for generations.
