Hi all,
Marilyn and I birded several eBird Hotspots in Gilliam County today. While
it was mostly quiet, we were rewarded with glimpses of 6 vocal Common
Redpolls flying away from Alders on Trail Fork Road (along Thirtymile
Creek) south of Condon. This is only the 2nd County record I think.
Another nice bird was an all-black Rough-legged hawk (with three thin white
bands on an otherwise all black tail) on Carter Hill Road. I will add
photos of this bird to my eBird list tomorrow.
