On Salem's CBC I saw five male pheasants in the Fairview Industrial Park.
This used to be a regular site for them, but they were not seen the last three
years. So, this year's sighting was a welcome confirmation they are still
there. Since this is inside city limits, there is no legal hunting pressure,
which may help them. Otherwise, it is anything but pristine habitat.

Same story as Dennis in the Silverton OR region. Only heard one rooster on
our CBC and regularly get none in recent past counts. Turkeys are doing well
... And of course Eurasian-collared Dove.
