Hands down, the highlight today was the Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch (1 or 2) on
Grizzly, right where they were supposed to be! Easily viewed in the road
apparently feasting on seeds of Knotweed in the bare ground and road. This
warm day was good for enjoying the Crook specialties including quite a few
Tricolored Blackbirds along Elliott Road. We saw a Rough legged Hawk, first
of the season for most of us. A flock of geese with 3 species was fun for
us. Sixty species today with some quite confiding. Thanks to Chuck Gates!
