The next Eugene Birders Night (SWOC) meeting will be held October 19th,
2015, the 3rd Monday of the month, at 7 pm at the McNail-Riley house, 601 W
13th Ave, Eugene. The McNail-Riley House is the restored historic house at
the NW corner of W. 13th Ave. and Jefferson St. The parking area, located
immediately west of the McNail-Riley House, can be accessed from Jefferson
St. via the driveway located immediately north of the M-R House.

After initial introductions, we’ll share recent sightings and discuss
birding connected topics. Then Dennis will present photographs that he and
Roger Robb took this past May during their eleven day cruise of 10 islands
in the Galapagos archipelago. They saw all but one of the 28 endemic bird
species, missing only the critically endangered Mangrove Finch, one of the
14 Darwin Finches.

Dennis will show photographs selected from the 62 species of birds,
iguanas, tortoises, sea lions, and sea turtles which they observed. Highlights
include: watching a Woodpecker Finch use a small stick to get grubs out of
a tree, a volcano erupting at 3:00 in the morning, and walking among
nesting birds including Waved Albatrosses.

No entrance fees! All are welcome!
