I was sent the following note this evening:
"I was at the Oak Hill Cemetery today and I saw a Black and White Warbler. I
haven't ever seen one before, but I got several good looks and I'm sure that is
what it was. It was it in the trees in front of the office, I was looking for
a Nuthatch that I had seen in one of the trees and what a surprise to see the
warbler.”
This site is west of Eugene between Green Hill Rd and Fisher Rd, off Royal Ave.
This seems to be the best fall for that species in Oregon in a long time. Like
ever. Maybe six or seven since August 1?
