We birded the Pole Creek burn in 2 spots, off the Park Meadow Trail and later, off Black Pine Springs. Locations will be noted on the list. We found several pairs of Black-backed. One pair had a cavity and was actively feeding. Other pairs seemed to be drumming and working on setting up a territory. No other woodpeckers were found except Flicker and we had one candidate for female Williamson's. Thanks to Mariena for ebirding several times during the morning. Birders today: Mariena Swarens, Kermit Williams, Cyndy Wicker and Kent Jacobs, Steve Wilkins, Ted and Susan Groszkiewicz, Cathy Beck, Howard Horvath, Sherrie Pierce, Mike Golden, Judy Meredith.
